SENIOR LABORATORY SCIENTIST:
Oversee the general operations of the tissue culture laboratory, able to trouble shoot protocols and develop new protocols. Able to supervisor junior level scientists, and able to maintain smooth operation in the laboratory. LABORATORY SCIENTIST
Department: Laboratory Program: Laboratory Reports To: Laboratory Manager

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science degree in Laboratory Science OR Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Chemistry or related field of study. Must have at least 2-3 years of experience in Basic Research Laboratory techniques. Must have experience with aseptic techniques / tissue culture.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
Reports to the manager of the laboratory, and performs all duties and tasks assigned to him/her which include, but are not limited to the following:

Aseptic techniques for basic tissue culture / inventory. Performing routine tests for microbiology technique molecular Biology - Includes, but not limited to: RNA extraction, cDNA Synthesis, PCR, Gel Electrophoresis, Western Blot, ELISA, Electroporation. Maintaining Cells in tissue culture and Imaging cells utilizing the microscope. Assist in Dissections of mice and rats for drug discovery studies.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Attends work regularly and punctually. Available to supervisors and employees during posted work hours. Provides a professional and friendly work environment towards peers and customers. Acts safely and carefully in a laboratory environment, ensuring a safe work environment for all who work in the lab.

SALES AND MARKETING:

JOB DUTIES:
Receiving, entering and processing customer orders. Packaging customer orders. Shipping customer orders, Maintaining company inventory, Answering incoming phone calls. Filing necessary paperwork. Familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word. Familiarity with Quickbooks a must. Customer care correspondence. Invoicing customers. Ordering laboratory/office equipment. Must be a Self-Starter. Must be available to travel to tradeshows approximately 4 times per year. Follow up with tradeshow attendees. Inventory existing items and update receiving items into inventory, responsible for maintaining scanned digital barcoded inventory logs.

DESIRED QUALITIES/QUALIFICAITIONS
Strong interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work as a team player. Must be able to work in a fast paced laboratory environment to meet project goals and deadlines. All applicants must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Sciences or Business Administration to apply.

BIO-PROCESS ENGINEER

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The bioprocess engineering role is key to the site as we continue in our mission to develop and manufacture the company's pipeline of biotech products. The candidate will be involved in introducing new products to this facility, designing new unit operations to support manufacturing together with the provision of operational support for ongoing manufacturing.

QUALIFICATIONS :
Bio-Process Engineer I (2-3yrs), degree qualified - Biochemical/Chemical Engineering with relevant knowledge of upstream and downstream biopharmaceutical unit operations, manufacturing processes, bioreactor design and control, Aseptic Filling , Filtration, Material handling and weighing out chemicals for production etc. The individual must be detail oriented with knowledge of FDA requirements and guidelines, cGMP and GLP guidelines; able to follow protocols and efficient in completing tasks on time. The individual must have knowledge of computers and software programs associated with bio-processing.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide day-to-day bioprocess engineering support to upstream / downstream manufacturing operations. Support and participate in commissioning and start-up activities of biotech unit operations and equipment. Initiate and implement facility and equipment upgrades to improve plant productivity and throughput. Facilitate the introduction of new products with associated new unit operations and equipment and ensure the bio-processing at the site stays current with emerging processing and equipment innovations. Develop and predict processing strategies and throughputs for the various products for the site biotech business through the use of modeling tools.

SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES
Technically sound and understanding in the field of Biochemical/Chemical Engineering. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to work on own initiative and as part process team consisting of a diverse group of management, production/science and engineering professionals. Creativity to identify improvement opportunities and the tenacity/initiative to see them implemented. Guidance/mentoring of others through processes. Flexibility to meet business needs.
